Because it's Friday...

I present to you my Future Husbands (yes plural). Throughout the years there have been many. Some make the cut and then quickly drop off the list. Others stay at the top for years. Here are my current top 5:

1. Scott Speedman
Best known for: Playing a-hole Ben Covington on Felicity, touching my butt while posing for a photo with me and M, and being my consistent number 1 for a long time
I forgive him for: this awful movie

Here is the cropped photo from our meeting (yes, it is that embarrassing of me)

2. Joshua Jackson
Best know for: Playing Pacey Witter on Dawson's Creek
I forgive him for: Assaulting a police officer (and the mug shot that goes along with the arrest)
Slightly random candid shot (how could you resist a man who can look so good in a pink stripe sweater?!):

3. Justin Timberlake
Best known for: his time in the boy band *NSYNC
I forgive him for: Breaking up with Britney (but I will still pray they get back together)
Photos from JT's concert last year:

Now the previous 3 have been my top FHs for a long time. Michael Vartan did used to be way up there though. However, he unfortunately lost his appeal and was removed from the top 5 (drastic but true). So we now have some new guys to add to the list ;)

4. James Lafferty
Best known for: Playing star baseketball player Nathan Scott on One Tree Hill
I forgive him for: his not always Oscar worthy acting ;)

5. Dave Annable
Best known for: Crushing on his "sister" on Brothers and Sisters
I forgive him for: Dating one of the Olsen twins

Honorable mentions (you know the married, have kids, serious relationship guys) in no specific order:
Matt Damon (who has my birthday! or I guess I have his?)
Ryan Gosling (he and Rachel McAdams are so cute together)
Simon Baker (if he gets divorced...), rent Something New-such a romantic, cute movie (and he looks way hotter than he did in The Devil Wears Prada)!
Enrique Murciano from Without a Trace
Brian Greenberg from One Tree Hill, October Road, and Prime (bad movie but he looks so good)
And of course the main men for most women: Brad and George
And Heath Ledger, RIP

I'm sure once I publish this I'll remember someone or want to add to the list. Just remember that there is always room on the FH list ;)

Who makes your list??

Pet Peeve

Every building/dorm I have lived in switches over to heat way too early. As soon as it gets "cooler" they turn off the AC and switch on the heat. Well there is ALWAYS a mini heat wave after this. Case in point: the next 5 days have highs in the high 70s with Monday calling for a high of 83. Fortunately I can open the windows to cool off.

I am off to take my midterm now. Yuck. As soon as I get home=plopping on the couch and not moving until I babysit tomorrow night.

DC girls-the TJ Maxx I went to was the Friendship Heights one

The time has come!

The giveaway has arrived! There will be multiple winners so comment on THIS post to enter :) The presents are a surprise but I can tell you that I have been filling this box

with adorable preppy goodies (no, you don't get the actual box, just what's in it!) from some of my favorite stores and designers for some time now. I will disable comments either Sunday or Monday so comment ASAP!

Pretty in pink

I meant to post this back when I was living at home but totally forgot. I miss my favorite girl! Someone had just gotten back from her bath and got a pink bow (makes her look a little more feminine since she's wearing a blue collar)

Happy first day of October (my FAVORITE month!). My birthday is in exactly one week!

Notes

1. My One Tree Hill season 4 dvds came in the mail today (along with a Dawson's Creek mix thanks to my great friend in Texas). Since my sister (aka my roommate) is gone this week I have plenty of time to watch :) I think I may be able to finish seasons 4 and 5 by winter break. Then I can watch the beginning of season 6 during the winter hiatus and then start at the current episodes in the spring. YAY!
2. I have not forgotten about my promise of a giveaway(s) (Yes there may be more than one coming up!).
3. No more (major) shopping for awhile. I will still post my wants and tips so that you readers can shop though.
4. My internship has been pushed back another week. Oh the federal government. Always so organized ;) At least I can get in some more babysitting (aka MONEY) before I start
5. I kinda forgot how soon my birthday is approaching! (FYI it is next week)

PS- Was anyone else annoyed with Serena's runway walk? Was she trying to be cheesy? I hate when girls pout like that. I did like the color of her dress though.

Why didn't my uniform look like this?

Ok I am getting a bit annoyed (read: extremely jealous) with the Constance Billard School for Girls uniforms. I went to an all girls private school and no one ever looked this good! I suspend reality (have any of you readers attended a private school where these things would fly?) and present some of my favorite recent looks:

A cape, shawl, whatever it is

Brightly colored belts

Heels and a pencil skirt? Yes, please! (Definitely better than the ugly maroon penny loafers I was forced to wear!)

Adorable colored cardigans and a jumper to spice things up

A cute ruffled blouse (not that I didn't love the polos I wore and still wear)

Now, to compare to my "lovely" uniform:
I didn't get to wear colored shoes until my senior year and that was a privilege that could be taken away at any moment (so we were told). Senior year we also added a new polo shirt color: light blue (instead of only white and navy). I think this came from seeing the uniforms of our sister school in NY. They had so many polo color options. I was so jealous they could wear pink polos!
For your viewing pleasure, my high school uniform:

Note the maroon penny loafers

And the blazers

Readers, your turn to share. What were your uniform highlights?

It has been 3 months since I left Australia. Of course it feels like just yesterday! So I am reposting some of my favorite photos :)

(Yes, Australian animals are totally amazing!)
