Beacon and Brewster GIVEAWAY!

Beacon and Brewster launched last month and I am so excited to be sharing this new company with you!

Beacon and Brewster sells polo shirts and t shirts in bright colors that correspond to a recognizable group of charities associated with the specific color. Every time someone purchases a Beacon and Brewster shirt, the customer selects a non-profit to donate 25% of the sales price of the shirt to. For example, if you buy a pink Beacon and Brewster polo shirt and pay $58, Beacon and Brewster donates $14.50 to a favorite breast cancer charity.

All of Beacon and Brewster's shirts are sourced from American fabrics and each item is 100% made in the USA. Choose from polo shirts or t shirts. Available in women's and men's sizes

Nautical iPhone cases: what should I get?

My Blackberry contract was finally up and I upgraded to an iphone 5! Now I just need to figure out which nautical case to get! What kind of case do you recommend? Please leave a comment with your vote!

Lilly Pulitzer (my Lilly itouch case peeled so I probably won't get this if it's the same material)

Lucy's Canvas

Lucy's Canvas was originally started by Lucy in her apartment in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the 1970s. She began to sell the bags at Boston's Faneull Hall. The line grew and eventually five Lucy's Canvas stores opened in the city.
Here is a photo of Lucy with one of her original bags
In 2012 the brand was relaunched Lucy's children, Savannah and Clayton Sachs. All totes are available in large or medium. Multiple color combinations are available. Here are my favorites:

Nautical Summer Entertaining: Cost Plus World Market

I saw the set of 4 seascape plates from Cost Plus and immediately thought they would be perfect for an outdoor summer party! I then searched around the Cost Plus website and found everything else you need for your summer party!

1. Blue pandan tray: use this to place food, drinks, or condiments on. Or if you are going to be bringing things from the kitchen outside this would come in handy!
2. Every outdoor party needs some mood lighting! Put up these seaside colored bulb string lights on your balcony or porch
3. Clean up spills with this set of 3 oversized sea life napkins
4. Turquoise enamel flatware to match the blue anchors/shells in the platters/plates
5. Set of 2 seascape platters are the perfect size for appetizers
6. I would use this wood fishing boat decor as a centerpiece
7. The original inspiration for this party: set of 4 seascape plates
8. For dessert or just decoration I love this set of 2 coral sea creature plates

Hudson Sutler

Hudson Sutler was launched December of 2011 in New York City as an accessories company. The featured product is a rugged, yet classic 18oz canvas duffel bag.

This summer Hudson Sutler added a new bag designed specifically for its female customers. The ladies weekender features additional exterior pockets for phone, keys, etc. when on the go, rust proof zippers, reinforced navy canvas bottom, natural cotton handles and printed liners (ANCHORS! and gingham).

Hudson Sutler sent me the Sconset Ladies Weekender in Nantucket red with anchor lining. I am obsessed with this bag! I had been looking for another weekend bag because my LeSportsac is in pretty bad shape. Plus the heart pattern was cute in high school but I wanted something classic that I can use for years.

With the heat and humidity I had to crop my head-my hair was a mess!
I immediately filled it up with stuff to take from my mom's house (where I have packages shipped to) to my apartment. I really wish I had had this bag for my weekend trip to Las Vegas earlier this summer. I am definitely going to be using it this summer on weekend trips. For now I am using it when I go stay at my sister's. It's the perfect size for a night or two away. You can use the handles or the removable, adjustable cross bag shoulder strap.

Please note: Hudson Sutler sent me this bag to review. All opinions are my own

Coastal Living: Patriotic and Nautical

From the Coastal Living article: "A Stone Harbor, New Jersey cottage with maritime roots gets a carefully curated look, using lots of flea market finds and a red, white, and blue color palette"

Coastal Living: Patriotic and Nautical

"To round out the look, he [designer Michael Murphy] carefully curated subtle, tasteful nautical accents to sprinkle throughout the home—pillows with knot and anchor motifs in the living room, an elegant sailboat model atop the fireplace at the front entry, a lighthouse replica on the nightstand in the guest room, authentic vintage buoys hanging outside"

Checking in/Happy 4th!

Just stopping in to say a quick hello. I can't believe it is JULY! H started preschool on Monday and will be going five mornings a week so we've been adjusting to our new routine. I miss my little buddy in the mornings but he is absolutely loving school and I am loving running errands without a chatty 3 year old slowing me down ;)

Have a wonderful Fourth of July!

Blogger Meetup at J.Crew Factory

Saturday night I went to a blogger shopping event at J.Crew Factory organized by Meg and Leeann. The store was having a 50% off sale PLUS an additional 10% off for us! You can't beat those prices!

I made a list ahead of time of what I was looking for. I am trying to stock up on basics and pieces I can wear together (not buying something unless it goes with what I already have). I was hoping to find more dresses but there wasn't a big selection. I did buy a spare navy cardigan (I already have the same one so I wanted to have an extra), a pink and white striped popover (I have already talked about my obsession with popover shirts), a pair of polka dot cropped pants (perfect for work), and a pair of skimmer pants in blue (can be for work, after work, or weekends).

New haircut and my absolute favorite J.Crew shorts. It was over 100 degrees out (at 530 PM!) so I just wanted to stay cool!

The store provided snacks and drinks during the event. I didn't get a photo of the mini cupcakes but they were delicious!

I am linking up with Meg, who is hosting a link up to share our photos from the meetup and Leeann for her Monday Morning Gossip linkup
