Pink and green elephants!

Just bought this pink and green elephant tote from J.Crew Crewcuts (I always check their sale stuff too). Not sure how big it is but I just couldn't resist! I also got a Crewcuts hair elastic with elephants on it. I'm hoping I can wear it as a bracelet. I won't have my mom send them here (I am already panicking about fitting everything back in my suitcases!) so I will have to wait until I am home in June to see them.

I think I was lied to!

Maybe it's the season (I think we're between fall and winter?), maybe it was the timing but my highly anticipated shopping trip was a bust (mostly)! I did find the the Lacoste fleece I wanted (for 30% off!). I saw the cutest pink and green big pony polo at Ralph Lauren but it was $120 so that was a no-go. I've tried very hard not to compare the US and Oz or be one of those annoying travelers who thinks everything is better back home. BUT I must admit I was disppointed with this mall. I actually missed Old Navy! This weekend I am going to try some other shopping areas/malls that were recommended to me by some shopaholic Aussie girls in one of my classes.

The fleece is light pink with gray piping. The photos really don't do it justice!

BTW, does anyone have a J.Crew coupon code (FS for any amount)??

PS- The party was so fun! Unfortunately my camera was lost during most of it (someone put their jacket on top of it) so I only got shots in the beginning. I'll post later this week.

Biggest mall in the southern hemisphere?

TGIF! Tonight is my party! I will take tons of pictures of the guests and my amazing decorations (for example, money signs out of foil).

Tomorrow I am going to Chadstone which is supposedly the largest mall in the southern hemisphere. I am beyond excited! I haven't shopped in so long (minus my online purchases), this place gives a 30% discount to international visitors, AND there is a Lacoste and Ralph Lauren!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm in love...

with my new J.Crew bracelet (Thank you Mom for sending me packages pretty much every week!)!

Now I just have to get the pink one ;)

It's PARTY time!!

3 essays, 5500 words, and 1 in class test later I am FREE (until May 12 but let's not think about it). So I am celebrating this and the fact that my roommate has pretty much moved out with a party on Friday night!! My room is tiny (seriously) so I'm throwing a big hallway party. I had to get all of my neighbors to sign approval so we'll see how many people show up (40 people on my hall, then 29 other friends were invited). Though Friday is a holiday here (ANZAC day) so a bunch of Aussies are going home for the weekend. Either way I think it's going to get pretty crazy! The best part: the theme.

Preps and Gangstas

I wanted to do just preppy but my party planner (good friend of mine) thought we'd get more people if we made it a choice (though who doesn't own a polo??). Pimps and Prostitutes is so over done (and so not me) so we're going with the theme above.

If anyone has any party planning advice, leave a comment!

Also from Alloy is this anchor hoodie. Very "busy" but reminds me so much of what they wear here in Australia

Getting crafty (sorta)

I just couldn't throw away the paper that wrapped my headband from Keeks and Brie. So I tried something out and have to admit that I am quite pleased with the result! I needed something to "organize" the stuff on my desk (pens, tape, etc) and this worked perfectly! Ugly shoebox becomes an adorable box!

Perfect timing!

Today (it's currently Thursday night) was a looong day! I had to sit down and (finally) start my 2500 word research paper (due Monday- let's not talk about it!). Fortunately I had 2 things in my mailbox when I got back from class this morning! A card from my grandma ($20! better than nothing) AND a package from home with my prize from Keeks and Brie's Pay it Forward contest.

Now I just need free shipping or something like that :)

South Moon Under

I went to this store when I was in Baltimore a couple of years ago (I got my favorite anchor hoodie then) and I check the website pretty frequently. There are now even more locations (mostly in MD,VA,PA) so check it out if you live near one!
