Saturday I met up with J, C, and M. We went to
Sugar Sweet Sunshine for cupcakes. We walked around, looking at some cute stores (and
saw Blake Lively out shopping!).
(anchor I saw out shopping)
Then for dinner we went to
Lombardi's Pizza (which claims to be America's first pizzeria).
Sunday my sister and I met up with her high school boyfriend in the West Village. It turns out N lives literally 3 apartments down from
Carrie Bradshaw's Sex and the City apartment!
We went to brunch at
Westville where I had delicious French toast. Then we got to meet N's English bull dog puppy (so cute) and walked down to the river because the weather was so nice.
(N was trying to get Olivia to look up but that didn't really work)
We said goodbye to N and Olivia and my sister and I headed to shop. We walked through
Henri Bendel and
Bergdorf Goodman. We had lunch at the burger place inside
Le Parker Meridien. It was packed but definitely worth the wait!
(since I am a vegetarian I got the grilled cheese-yum!)
. After a late lunch and some down time in the hotel my sister and I headed to see
In the Heights on
Broadway. It was kind of a combination of Rent and West Side Story. Great dancing and singing. I really wanted to see Little Mermaid too but we ran out of time!
Monday we went to breakfast at
Alice's Tea Cup. I think it would be so fun to have an Un-birthday party there ;) Then we headed to
Lilly. The Lilly jeep was parked outside!
Yep, I forgot my cute monogrammed umbrella and had to buy this boring one. PLUS I also couldn't fit my Lilly swellies into my suitcase :(
We also stopped into
Olive and Bettes (so sad they aren't selling online anymore) and
Steven Alan on our way to
Popover Cafe. Popovers are a family tradition for us (every Christmas morning) so we always stop in.
For dinner we met my sister's college friend S at
Bianca. Afterwards we stopped for cupcakes at
Tonnie's Minis. Then we went back to her apartment and met
Ella the rabbit (I think I want a bunny now)!
Unfortunately C went back to Boston and J and M have class (their spring break is next week) so I probably won't see them again this trip. So glad I got to spend Saturday with them though.
**those of you coming for Martha-be prepared for rain and cold!**
