Organizing: Cleaning Closet

I have a big pantry in my kitchen but it doesn't have any shelves. The previous renters asked to take the shelves out and used it to store other things. I don't need a bigger pantry so I just stored a few things in it but it was mostly empty. Then I saw these photos and knew what I wanted to do! The original article was written by Jen of iHeart Organizing for Better Homes and Gardens.

I was previously storing my vacuum in my hall/coat closet but it took up a lot of room and meant my rain boots and uggs were just sort of thrown in on top. It made sense to move it to the cleaning closet
Such a poor use of space! Duster and mop, plastic bags, paper towels, and my apron
Nautical by Nature: Organizing: Cleaning Closet
Still a work in progress but on its way! * I moved the paper towels to the under kitchen sink spot
Attached hooks to hold my mops/brooms/duster so they aren't falling over

Added some of the contact paper I blogged about before on the bottom

The TJ Maxx bag holds paper bags and reusable bags, the silver thing holds plastic bags

Where do you store your cleaning products? What else should I include in my space? I have room on the side for more hooks

Nautical Rain Boots

If there is any chance of rain I will wear my rain boots. I hate wearing regular shoes in the rain: your feet/socks get wet, the bottoms of your pants get wet (and stay wet for hours). I have two pairs of rain boots: Lilly Pulitzer pink elephant swellies and Target anchor boots (same coloring as the whale ones below). I love wearing rain boots at work because I can walk through puddles with H (he has fireman AND Thomas rain boots).

Nautical by Nature blog: Nautical rain boots

1. Target whale rain boots Target rain boots are the best! They come in a ton of patterns, hold up really well, and you just can't beat the price!

2. Payless puddle rain boots Simple nautical stripes will go with everything!

3. Target rain skimmers I have seen different versions of these and am intrigued by the idea. A bit more professional looking than rain boots but still keep your feet dry. Does anyone have something similar?

Salty Sea Clothing

Brandi and her husband started Salty Sea, a clothing brand inspired by the laid-back, low key style of the Southern Coast. Everything is printed with eco-friendly inks (perfect for Earth Day today!). Salty Sea uses only non-toxic, water-based inks. Water-based printing is more earth and human friendly than traditional plastisol inks, so you can feel a little "greener"

Here is my monogram:

The quality is great. I can tell that Courtney puts a lot of time and effort into making each monogram perfect!

I want to put it somewhere special but all of my walls are white so I need to decide what color to paint it. I want it to stand out! Maybe navy? I will do another post with photos once I have hung it up. If you couldn't tell from my recent organizing posts, I am doing major spring cleaning in my apartment!

More ideas on how to decorate with your wooden monogram

**Please note I was given the wooden monogram to review. All words and opinions are my own**
