Shabby Apple DRESS Giveaway!

I've seen Shabby Apple dresses on some other blogs so I was thrilled when I was asked to host a giveaway! I love Shabby Apple's philosophy (so to speak): "We recognize that finding the perfect dress can sometimes be challenging, which is why strive to design highly fashionable dresses for all types of women"

They also have really cute little girls' dresses, skirts, and accessories!

I could not choose a favorite dress! There were just too many fun dresses to choose from! SO the winner will get to choose between my two personal favorites: Azure Coast OR San Gabriel

Aloha!

H "running" to the pool!

I'm back from my trip to Hawaii! I survived!!! Anyone who travels with a toddler deserves a giant pat on the back, a prize, or maybe a shopping trip ;) The only rough part was our flight home. H cut a new tooth during hour 2. Not so fun! Otherwise the trip itself was a lot of fun! I had a great time. The most relaxing of my work trips to date. H had the time of his life! He went swimming multiple times a day and loved running around the hotel (chasing roosters, watching the koi in pond, making new friends). Often traveling as a nanny is even more work (packing, flying, time changes, etc) and it drives me NUTS when parents say "well it's a vacation for our nanny too" or "we're paying for her airfare and hotel so she doesn't need any additional money." It is NOT a vacation for your nanny!!

I am so very lucky that I found a family that I enjoy traveling with. Don't get me wrong: it's still stressful and I still consider it WORK (duh)! But SO much better than past travel jobs! Here's to our next adventure (Mexico this fall?). Any recommendations for kid friendly vacation spots? Must have a great pool and be no more than 6 hour flight from LAX.

Our last dinner I wore the Lilly Pulitzer Caroline dress (I think that's the name). I love the bows on the front!

Windy by the beach! REALLY BAD hair day!

Had a very casual breakfast with my family this morning. I got back from my work trip late last night so I wanted to take it easy today! I decided to dress up because I really wanted to wear this Vineyard Vines dress I found on ebay. It's from a few years ago and I love it!

J.Crew Add a Critter

I already knew you could add a monogram to many of our favorite J.Crew items. But my sister just emailed me that you can now add a critter! AMAZING! I'm hoping they'll add more (what about a sea horse or elephant?) I'm hoping they expand this because I could only find 2 items to add critters to. Does anyone know more about this option? I'd love to add an anchor to a bathing suit!

The critter options:

Look for this on the page to see if a critter can be added:
