Greetings from Melbourne!

My last post...

until I am in AUSTRALIA! My bags are (mostly) packed, my farewell dinner planned, my anxiety high. Because I don't know when I'll have internet next, I'll leave you with some facts about the city I will be living in for the next 5 months:

I just caught the end of one of my favorite movies, Sixteen Candles, and Jake Ryan would be the perfect preppy boyfriend. I love his plaid shirts and the sweatervest he wears at the end of the movie. He is seriously so cute!

This baby name website has a long list of what they consider "IVY LEAGUE PREPPY STYLE BABY NAMES." Some of them are right on: Archibald, Caldwell, Dutton but others are totally trashy/strange/too trendy: Mercedes, Hadwen, Cuyler.

In other news, I have two summer internship interviews this morning. It would be great to already know what I'm doing in February!
I did not go to the Lauren Conrad shopping event on Tuesday because (1) I had no one to go with (all my friends are back in school) and (2) it would just be way too tempting!
I did splurge on a "fancy" haircut from Joseph Martin Salon in Beverly Hills (going away present from my mom). I never understood why women would spend so much on haircuts. Then I went to this place and I totally get it now. My stylist was amazing, knew exactly how to balance what I wanted and what would look good, and was so worth it. He fixed my bangs, gave me great layers, and cut my hair so that it will look great as it grows out (definitely important since I probably won't be getting my hair cut for months).

I have seen this shade of pink everywhere! Fruit punch, lipstick pink, bright pink- whatever you want to call it, it's perfect for SPRING! ( There is a slight variation in each of these but pretty much going for the same look)

Travel Tip Tuesday

I leave Sunday night for Australia and am hoping to get some helpful advice from blogworld. Your suggestions can be specific to Australia or travel in general.

I already have about a million guide books, a pink travel pillow from Brookstone, and spacesaver/vacuum bags from the Container store.

I'm hoping to hear from some of you lurkers/anonymous posters on this post!

Oceanic 6?!?

Any "Lost" fans out there?? Another amazing episode, so many new questions. If you are a fan I highly suggest checking out this from Kristin at E!online. She is pretty much my hero.

Most importantly, thanks to this site I discovered that Lost is current in Australia (the new season is premiering next week there)! So this means that I won't have to rely on my mom's DVR and wait until I am home in JUNE: I can watch the episodes from my apartment!
